Damson Madder x The Face
A contemporary gallery space at Forty Two Bermondsey Street provided the setting for a culturally driven fashion and editorial collaboration.
Located in the heart of Bermondsey, just moments from London Bridge, the 5,000 sq ft venue offered a clean, adaptable backdrop — its open-plan layout and gallery-grade finish lending itself to immersive storytelling and exhibition-led experiences.
In collaboration with Damson Madder and The Face, the space hosted Appreciation Society — an exhibition and live experience celebrating community, creativity and subculture through the lens of London’s special-interest groups.
The project brought together photography, fashion and set design to create a layered environment, showcasing Damson Madder’s SS26 collection through a series of intimate, real-world narratives. Shot by British photographer Siân Davey, the work explored communities including mudlarking, birdwatching and roller skating, inviting audiences into distinct cultural worlds.
ARK: Creating Spaces supported the delivery of the event at Forty Two Bermondsey Street, applying for the required licensing and managing all on-site security. Their involvement ensured the smooth operation of a public-facing exhibition within a high-footfall, central London venue.
Held in March, the project exemplified the intersection of fashion, publishing and spatial storytelling — transforming a contemporary Bermondsey gallery into a platform for community-led narratives and cultural exchange.
